"Sat Nam,

I thought you might love to hear about my success with Subogh Kriya. I started a 40-day commitment to this kriya last week. My job (among other things) is in non profit fundraising for environmental education and stewardship projects. On the first day I received an unexpected cheque for $250 - nice. On the second day I received an unexpected $25,000. On the fourth day, another $10,000 - totally unexpected with a letter from a funder saying "we reviewed your file and decided in fairness you should be granted additional funds". Today -- about ten days in to the meditation, I've received yet another $10,000 and support in principle for a multi-million dollar project that I have been holding the vision of for two years.

I clearly have a good deal of receptivity going on for good fortune on behalf of my workplace...now I am going to add personal prosperity into the mix.

Wahe Guru

"Don't limit yourself.
Stay open to all avenues of receiving prosperity.

I was in my last quarter in Chiropractic school when this lady came up to me one day and said she had just taken a workshop in tithing. She told me that she didn't belong to any church or religious group, but that she had made a decision to tithe to people who were inspiring to her. She said she had just received a large sum of money and wanted to give me a check! I didn't really know this person but I remembered that I had smiled at her in the hallway a couple of times. She said that whenever she had seen me, my smile had lit up her day and that is what had inspired her to give to me. What a blessing! Keep smiling! You never know where prosperity is going to come from."

“I have been constant and consistent with my Dasvandh, and I have no doubt that ‘the vacuum’ really works. I have done two or three of the Prosperity meditations included in these issues and have found many amazing results. I have never gone through financial struggles, and since 1993, I have experienced a good income increase every year, something rare in Mexico.”

“Recently my wife, Sat Rattan K and I decided to do something to increase the prosperity of our GRD Chiropractic Clinic. Beginning one Friday evening at 6 PM and continuing for 24 hours until 6 PM Saturday evening, we sponsored a continuous recitation of the 25th Pauri of Japji Sahib. This has helped us breakthrough to a new dimension of prosperity. Paying Dasvandh is a privilege now as our business tripled it’s income in the following two weeks. Thank you, Guru Nanak!”

“On the 30th day of the 40-day prosperity meditation plan, my husband was offered a promotion and a sizable increase in salary. On the 40th day, an old bill, we never expected to receive payment on, was paid in full. We’re so excited that we’re going to go through the plan a second time.”

“I am delighted at all the fantastic events that have taken place in my life since following the 40-day prosperity Program. it is a wonderful program, but I must admit that it took me several tries before I reached the 40th day. It is not only a prosperity program, but a program in faith and discipline. I would get halfway through the affirmations, and then I would be faced with a challenge and quit. My faith in the Universal flow was very weak. Through determination and perseverance I have had tremendous results and I am so thankful to God. I finally realized what God was trying to tell me.”

“I feel that we are beginning to get a handle on prosperity. During January and February almost 60% of our cash in the bank came from unexpected sources. This is the first time in my life that my employment contributed less than half of my income. Also, in March, I walked into the bank and paid off the loan on my car. Not bad at all, considering I owed almost $5000 on it.”

“Dear prosperity Paths,

When you are a student on financial aid, money is tight. Even the financial aid office calculates for you what you need to earn to make up for what cannot be granted, unless you want to take out more loans. I had many expenses and was making a small, fixed amount of money. How could I continue to tithe as a student, which to me, meant poverty, until I could earn a real living? Then I thought, won’t I always be having expenses?

Should I wait until my college debts are paid until I can give back again? What is prosperity? Perhaps my education is really part of the flow of my prosperity that I am investing in the future; Guru is with me now, and I can be prosperous now. After all, Guru has blessed me with the opportunity for education and the part-time job to help support it.

So putting normal budget limits aside, I created an opening for the flow of prosperity. I gave a tenth of my earnings from when I had stopped to the present. Two days after I mailed the check, a relative called, asked me how I was doing, acknowledged that graduate school testing and applications were expensive. My relative offered to send me six times the amount I had just sent as a tithe. What a miracle! For me, the key is trust in God and Guru to provide for my soul’s destiny, and in the reality of the teachings on tithing. I tried it. You can too.”

“During the last few months I was not traveling on the road and selling, as I normally do. I was a little depressed, so I decided to help out in the Dasvandh, Fund Development Office to get my spirits up. I so believe in the power of Dasvandh and building this Dharma. I was helping call the sangat all over the country and I was telling everyone about our wonderful new Prosperity Altar. I was talking away saying how important it is to give so that the energy can flow through us all, when I realized I needed to give a Dasvandh offering also.

The new Prosperity Altar has just been completed. I had $20 in my wallet, so I put it in a Dasvandh envelope and put it on the Prosperity Altar. Not more than a half an hour later, the phone rang and I was offered a $1200 job for the month of January with all expenses paid! Wahe Guru!

One thing I have learned in my 25 years in Sikh Dharma is that the only way to really be prosperous is by giving.”

"I have experienced over and over in my life the lesson: if you give one-tenth to the Guru, the Guru has already given you extra in return. Please let me share on of my experiences. It was during my first year in Sikh Dharma that I first felt the bounty of Dasvandh. I was unemployed at the time, having just completed a job at Boston University Medical Center. Even though I was on Unemployment, I had sent in a check to Dasvandh the first of that month. I was hoping to attend KWTC (Women's Camp) for the first time. I had innocently put away money for camp, not knowing the expenses that I would incur on a spiritual yatra I was going on beforehand. One day, as I reviewed my budget for the summer, I realized that I was almost $1000 short of what I needed for camp. Within a week I received a check from Boston University. I expected this check to be for $118. To my great surprise it was exactly 10 times the amount, $1180. Through the power of Dasvandh, KWTC was covered for me. Wahe Guru!”

“Dear Prosperity Paths,

Please find enclosed a new photo of me for the Prosperity Altar. I last sent a photo for it in Spring, 1994. I put in writing on the back some information about my family and me, and some needs and desires we were praying for; the results were quite positive and I wanted to share them with you.

My husband’s projection was for a challenging, well-paying job with less stress and more fun. The result was that he got his new job. My son’s projection was to learn more in school not have disruptive kids in his class, and have more money for computer accessories and software. The result was that he enrolled in some more challenging classes and then, by God’s Grace, ended up going to another school on the other side of town, where the disruptive kids that had bothered him did not attend. This school is much more accepting of diversity. he has received quite a bit of gift money that he has been able to use for his computer.

My projection was to be successful at writing and teaching Kundalini Yoga, and to be healthy. I also projected to go to solstice next year. The result of all the prayers was that I sold newspaper and magazine articles, had more yoga students, and am now much healthier. I didn’t make it to solstice last year, but have since attended many events!

All Love in Devine,
-Dukh Niwaran Kaur Khalsa Whipp-

“I would like to share two Dasvandh stories that illustrate the power of giving back to God a small part of what He constantly gives to is. The first story concerns a friend and former student whose financial circumstances were truly desperate. At the time this story starts she had been unemployed for more than a year and a half and was no longer eligible for unemployment benefits. She had nearly lost her house because of not being able to make the mortgage payments arid she also owed friends money. The car she was driving was on its last legs and often refused to run. In addition to all that, there was a certifiable madman living in her house, who instead of fixing the place up, which was the original deal, was making it worse.

We began to gel together once a week to do affirmations for prosperity and to discuss the positive changes in our lives Nothing much happened to her for several months until I asked it she tithed. She gave the usual sad excuse that she didn’t have the money to tithe with. I took a dollar out of my wallet and gave it to her with a stamp and an envelope and the Dasvandh address. A light went on in her face, and she took another dollar out of her wallet and sent in both dollars then and there. Within a couple of weeks she had a job that paid all her bills, and she was paying back the money to friends. (She also gave me back the dollar, the envelope and the stamp.) A month or so later, the madman left her house. About 4 years later she received an unexpected legacy from her father. Had she not been tithing and working on herself, it is almost certain that she would have lost all or nearly all of this legacy due to a series of legal complications. What she did receive was enough to provide her with a modest nest egg and enough money to purchase a new used car in excellent condition.
The changes tithing made in my friend’s life were unmistakable.

The second story is my own. l am a housewife whose husband is a Methodist with qualms about tithing (but none about generosity). I asked my husband to give me an allowance with the suggestion that this might halt or decrease our fights about money (which it did). From this allowance I began tithing a consistent amount to Dasvandh each month. I also tithe from other sources of income.

Some amazing things have happened. During the recession in the early 90s, my husbands public library job, which he greatly enjoys was re-classified in a way that amounted to a nice promotion. He also received a moderately large portfolio of stocks and bonds from his grandmothers estate, which has been augmented by gifts of stocks from his parents.

I received a very unexpected small legacy from an aunt and some stocks from my parents. We paid off the mortgage on the house where we were living and have recently moved into a larger house in a much nicer part of town. The new house has a large room fur yoga classes and a Gurdwara, with a nearby small room which houses the Guru. We sold our old house for the full asking price within two or three weeks, which enabled us to re-carpet our new house and put tile in the entry hall. Less than six months later we have already paid off nearly 20% or the new mortgage. We also drive a Cadillac for which we paid $1.

None of the above even mentions the gifts of consciousness that come from acknowledging with our pocketbooks that all things come from God. Give consistently and watch God pour out the blessings.”
