Step One: Partner Up
* Choose someone as a partner.
- A friend, relative, colleague, partner, or a classmate are possibilities.
* 11-31 minutes a day for prosperity meditation
- There are a number of excellent prosperity meditations on line at our website: www.dasvandh.org. We recently asked the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) about a prosperity meditation and he responded that we should do Har Har Har Har Gobinday.
Thus it is our highest recommendation:
Har Har Har Har Gobinday
Har Har Har Har Mukhanday
Har Har Har Har Udaaray
Har Har Har Har Apaaray
Har Har Har Har Hariang
Har Har Har Har Kariang
Har Har Har Har Nirnaamay
Har Har Har Har Akaamay
There are some different postures using this particular mantra on our website
(Prosperity Meditation #3 and Prosperity Meditation #7).
Another favorite, and
highly recommended one is Prosperity Meditation #5 (just part one).
Ajai Alai
is also a wonderful meditation for prosperity, which you can find in two
different poses (Prosperity Meditation #12 and Prosperity Meditation #14).
- 1 hour meeting once a week. We recommend that your meeting be coupled with
fun. Do the meditation together that day, share a meal, a walk, or cup of Yogi
Tea™.
- Last, but certainly not least, choose an amount and agree to tithe during your
Prosperity Program. Some great numbers are: $11, $27, $54, $108, but please
choose what best fits your program.
Two additional optional steps might be:
1) 1-2 telephone calls a week to keep up on things.
2) Keeping a log of goals, experiences, insights, and any tangible results you
may be seeing. Share these with your partner.

STEP TWO: Addressing the Messaging
Now that the groundwork is in place, the next important step is to work on what
messages you are sending out to yourself. Deep in our subconscious minds there
is the need to respond appropriately to those messages. If you are saying
outwardly “I am beautiful, I am bountiful, I am blissful,” but internally you
are fretting because you are convinced you are not bountiful, your subconscious
mind will adhere to the internal messages first. This makes the process take
a lot longer, and you can change that.
So let’s move on to STEP TWO: Addressing
the Messaging
The technology the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) has taught to change negative
thought and belief patterns into positive ones is a simple, effective and
incredibly powerful tool.
Set aside some time with your Prosperity Pal for a meeting on beliefs. Really
brainstorm on some of the negative thought patterns and beliefs you may have
“behind the scenes.” On a sheet of paper, create two columns and write the
negative beliefs down in the left column. In the right column, write a
corresponding positive belief.
Here is a useful three-step process to identify old beliefs
(shared by Dr. Shanti Shanti K Khalsa, of the GRD Center for Medicine and Humanology).
1. Look at the feelings that come with your beliefs, which will give you a clue
to what you are thinking, what the thoughts are. Examples are despair, anger,
hopelessness, shame, etc.
2. Identify beliefs through language. Examples: I could never afford that. I’m
always broke. This will never work.
3. Once you’ve identified old beliefs, create healthier beliefs.
These new beliefs have to be based in nature, not based in the future, and always realistic. Beliefs should always be “I”-based. Examples: I can improve my income, I am doing what I understand to do to make my life better. As I learn to trust God more, I become more comfortable with my prosperity. It is not about an affirmation or positive thought like, “I am going to get this job.”
Once you have determined the positive beliefs, set aside time every single day
for 40 days, and use the following technology. This technology helps in the
process of loosening and weakening the old beliefs and strengthening the new,
positive beliefs.
For each positive belief:
1. Breathe in deeply.
2. Mentally repeat the positive belief three times.
3. Exhale fully while repeating the positive belief once.
4. Repeat two more times.
The more often you do this exercise, the more beneficial it will be. Make time
once, twice or three times a day to practice it.
Step THREE
PROSPERITY LAWS
The next step in the Prosperity Pals Program begins the journey through the Prosperity Laws, a ten-step program which teaches the inherent aspects of realizing prosperity. Prosperity Paths will feature these laws in upcoming issues for you and your Prosperity Pal to work on.
Anything is Possible, Vast, Unlimited
The Law of Pure Potentiality is essentially an envisioning process. You are already working on your current messaging; you are already meditating to clear out past belief systems. Now is the time to become crystal clear about how you envision prosperity from this moment onward.
Our envisioning process begins first with a vision of your self-fulfillment. “Everybody who is in love and guides and goads him- or herself with discipline, shall ultimately reach it. That is self-fulfillment. And when you are self fulfilled, then you have gratitude. That attitude will bring you prosperity.” (YB)
The second step of our envisioning process is to take an overview look at your life and then envision a place of complete grace, harmony, and gratitude - a place where you spend time counting your blessings. A place of prosperity!
What is envisioning?
• The art of seeing the possible
• Empowering ourselves by taking ownership
for an optimistic future, one bearing positive attitude and a meaningful
opportunity for success.
• The most important aspect of a vision
being not how big or small it is (physically) or even how deep
(spiritually), but how well we are able to
act on it.
Now to meditate on the “Law of Pure Potentiality -
anything is possible, vast, unlimited.” How does this apply to your life? Where
do you see vastness and where do you see constrictions in your life. Spend some
time discussing the elements of this process with your Prosperity Pal.
FOCUS. Create a vision of the future, beginning
with an examination of all your roles and responsibilities, in all areas at
home, at work, and in the community. This helps you focus on what is important,
and to maintain balance in your life.
Less than five percent of the population ever
commits their life vision and goals to writing. Failure to integrate personal
and professional vision and goals constitutes one of the major reasons people do
not experience the fulfillment of the achievement
PLANNING. Formulate the mission, goals, and
strategies for what you want your future to be, both personally and
professionally. It is achieved by establishing a concise mission and clearly
defining and setting goals, strategies, and formulating priorities.
ACTING. Act on your plan by ensuring that every
effort is steered towards achieving something tangible and bringing you closer
to attaining your goals. Keep track of your activities, but prioritize to
optimize use of your time.
